A restaurant is coming to the river. Nowa will bring Mediterranean cooking and American comfort together at The Waterfront, on the bank of the Lehigh River in Allentown. The kitchen pairs the bright flavors of the Mediterranean with familiar American plates, served by a team drawn from the region’s strongest hospitality talent.
The room is built around the water. Plans call for a bright, open dining room that takes in natural light, with a palette of neutrals, warm bronze, and soft wood that nods to the Mediterranean. A bar and an outdoor patio will give guests river views in the open air. Design is ongoing, led by designers and architects from across the Northeast.
The food is in good hands. Executive Chef Tyler Baxter and General Manager Robert van Thiel lead Nowa. As design and construction progress, the team will expand to include professionals from across hospitality. A creative cocktail program and regional ingredients round out the table.
